Senior Brand Activation Manager - FMCG B-Corp

This is an amazing opportunity for a talented and highly motivated Senior Brand Manager who is passionate about helping to grow beautiful brands that people love.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working in a fun-loving, fast-paced Marketing team, this is a critical and broad role that will see you act as guardian of our consumer-first growth strategies, and in particular our communication and activation agenda.
This is a pivotal role in the team, suiting a curious & creative thinker who gets under the skin of a brand and isn’t afraid to push the boundaries in the pursuit of igniting the brand. We’re looking for someone who pro-actively seeks out ways to deeply understand consumers and the brand loyalists, who can run quickly to turn big ideas into reality.
This person will play a role in helping to refine the brand's approach to deliver the strategic ambition of the brand. Taking a leading role with the brand positioning, activation and communications plans. This role works alongside the other members of the Marketing team, as well as strong interaction with Sales and any external agency and freelance partners. London-based with some occasional travel required within the UK. Line management of 2-3 direct reports.
What you'll do...
- Brand Planning: Support the Managing Director, working closely in conjunction with one of the Board members and the Head of Product in developing the annual brand plans to drive growth and inspire the team, our partners and other key stakeholders.
- Brand Architecture: Support the Managing Director in the development of the brand strategy, brand purpose, positioning and activation. Leading the development of the brand stories and their role in the activation and communications plans.
- Guardian of Brand Health & Equity: Brand guardian to ensure all activity drives brand value; including visual identity, tone of voice & distinctive assets. Monitoring brand health metrics, including brand tracking and consumer sentiment.
- Campaign Development: Develop sticky brand marketing activations that surprise and delight consumers from concept creation to creative briefing, channel implementation and evaluation and which deliver against our consumer & customer goals, activating in line with our brand positioning.
- Partnership Development: Support the development of and help lead our Brand partnerships, consumer events, social media and influencer relationships.
- Exceptional Execution: Develop the activation plan, including social media content and PR, utilising the best of the brand creative assets. Generating interest and excitement for the brand at all consumer touch points, driving further interaction, strengthening brand awareness and enforcing the reasons to believe/why people should pay more for the products.
- Digital Understanding: Test and trial new digital initiatives to accelerate growth including pilot learning opportunities through to scale initiatives.
- Customer Marketing: Using a strong grounding in data, understanding and insight, work in conjunction with the Customer Marketing Manager and Sales team to jointly develop channel relevant and shopper-focused activation plan to drive awareness and rate of sale.
Who you are...
- Proven experience in brand management and brand activation.
- Ability to use a combination of intuition, logic, insight and data/robust information to help guide brand direction.
- A creative storyteller who can propagate the brand’s personality and tone of voice.
- A blend of challenger brand mindset and a restless desire to get things done with the ability to embrace a more structured considered perspective when appropriate.
- A positive, enthusiastic and proactive collaborator with the ability to influence & build strong partnerships internally and externally.
- Bundles of energy, enthusiasm and pace.
- Self-starter with the confidence to work independently.
- Brand development experience (purpose, positioning, architecture)
- Champion of the consumer and a passion for doing good for people and the planet
- Digitally fluent and media savvy
- Strong commercial understanding, close budget management
- Sharp eye for detail and highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once and think whilst doing.
- Passion for food and drink
💸 Salary: up to £73k + 15% bonus
🏡 Logistics: London office 3x per week (willing to discuss flexibility depending on the successful candidate location)
